WHS Business Partner (NSW)

Your new organisation is a diverse services business and a leader in its fields of operation across both Australia and New Zealand. The business has gone through fundamental change in recent times and subsequently is at an exciting and pivotal time in its history.

As the WHS Business Partner, you will report to the Director of Human Resources and lead the Health & Safety agenda across NSW and the ACT, as well as playing a key role in a number of Corporate Safety initiatives. You will build relationships with and influence managers at all levels to drive accountability and ownership of Safety across the business. The organisation is part way through a journey towards a Safety Culture, and with a number of key initiatives under way, your drive, commitment and energy will be key to the success of this venture.

Specifically, success factors and responsibilities include:
• Playing a key role in an organisational wide accreditation process
• Embedding new on-line Safety Systems in the organisation
• Driving manager accountability by developing and implementing key Safety Systems and Initiatives.
• Effectively and proactively managing a diverse Risk profile in the business

To succeed in this role you will have:
• A strong track record in WHS management roles in a field based environment.
• Proven experience in driving a business towards a Safety Culture
• Strong influencing and consultation skills
• The ability to both meet the operational needs of your business, and take on corporate and group responsibilities.
• Energy, drive and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Suitable tertiary qualifications
