Health, Safety & Environment Manager (NSW)

• Global Healthcare business
• Newly designed role
• North Ryde location

Your new organisation has a worldwide reputation for excellence and achievement in its field. With a strong values-based culture, the organisation has won awards for its people policies and is committed to being recognised as an Employer of Choice. The business prides itself on its ability to attract and retain top people, and has a range of associated benefits in place to help it do so. The organisation is on a strong growth path and will more than double its number of production lines over the next three years.

Working in a matrix structure and leading a small team, you will be responsible for driving the Safety, Health & Environment strategy and agenda across the organisation, in an environment where Safety is the top priority on the business agenda. Your work in the Environment space in particular will bring further definition to an area that is already a business priority, and will upskill managers to drive a culture of accountability. Other initiatives such as behavioural based safety, driver safety and risk management are already underway with more work to be done.

Having worked in both a manufacturing environment and a field based sales force, you will be adept at managing a range of stakeholders and will be able to successfully balance a strategic mindset with the willingness and ability to be hands on. You will also have formulated and driven an Environment strategy in a comparable organisation and have managed chemicals in the workplace on an ongoing basis.

Additionally, you will have:
• A proven track record running a Safety team in a complex, preferably matrix-based business;
• Experience working in both a manufacturing and a commercial environment;
• In depth, specialist knowledge in both the Safety & Environment disciplines
• Strong data management and analytical skills;
• Strong influencing and relationship-building skills;
• Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline.
• You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.

Please forward your resume by emailing quoting reference number 1457243N or for further information in confidence telephone Adam Wilson in the Sydney office on 02 8256 2515.
