2013 National Forklift Safety Week

The third annual National Forklift Safety Week will be held from 3 to 7 June 2013.
The 2013 Safety Week continues the very successful events held in the last two years, and is supported by each of the AITA’s members.

The theme of this year’s campaign is Who has the right of way? and will particularly focus on Traffic Management Plans and training. The theme was selected to highlight the impact on end users of the revised Australian Standard AS 2359:2-2013 Powered Industrial Trucks —Operation released in February.

National Forklift Safety Week will be promoted via safety message posters that can be positioned in warehouses and other high traffic forklift areas, stickers that will be put on forklifts being delivered and rented during Safety Week, and links on members’ websites promoting the event. Posters and stickers are available from the Secretariat.

For more information on National Forklift Safety Week and the work of the AITA, visit or contact the AITA Secretariat.

The AITA represents the interests of the major suppliers of lift trucks and associated equipment in Australia.
