The plan is for the brand to become an icon, with simple robust semiotics, the whole of which is unmistakably "in category." Smiink is an eye and mouth product brand. The cheeky skew is smile and wink; the marriage of the two giving birth to a memorable and dynamic retail brand. Packaging, advertising, etching, stamping, embossing and debossing call for a simple mono colour element. So the icon is solid black and that’s chic in fashion today.
